MONTREAL, Aug. 19, 2015 (Local News) -When looking for a solution to providing developing countries with clean drinking water, Teri Dankovich may have found the answer in a book.
The American chemistry researcher has helped develop a book whose pages can be torn out to be used as water filters. She calls it The Drinkable Book.
Dankovich says she came up with the idea while doing graduate work in Montreal.Read more

ST. JOHN'S NF, June 11, 2014 (Press Release) -The mill was shut down and the effluent flow from the pipeline stopped. Part of the investigation includes determining the source of the spill and how much untreated effluent went into the environment. The department has also hired Strum Engineering to conduct independent tests.

BRUSSELS, Nov. 21, 2013 (RISI) - Ence continues to improve the ecological footprint of its pulp mills. The firm just inaugurated a new Euro 11 million ($14.9 million) wastewater treatment facility at its Navia pulp mill in northeastern Spain.
According to Ence, a joint venture formed by Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and Inelecma was commissioned to build the new treatment plant with a capacity amounting to 50,000 m³/day.Read more
