AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Sept. 1, 2015 (Press Release) -AkzoNobel is to invest more than €1.3 million to build a pilot plant for coating resins at its Performance Coatings site located in Felling, UK.
The state-of-the-art facility - which will create three new jobs and safeguard a further 28 positions at the site - will provide resin samples for product testing and the possibility to scale up to commercial manufacture. Start-up is expected in the first quarter of 2016.

Officials with Kuraray America, Inc. today announced that prices will increase by $0.04 on all bags of commercial and XEP grades of EVALTMEVOH, GF and ETC resins. Kuraray America is notifying customers of the change, which will go into effect July 15, 2014 or as contracts allow.
The price increase is due to a significant rise in the costs of packaging resin into bags. The company's carton prices will not be affected by the increase.
