SAVANNAH, GA, May 11, 2015 (Savannah Morning News) -Another dozen neighbors of Georgia Pacific have filed lawsuits complaining that hydrogen sulfide from the paper mill's sludge fields is damaging their property.
The lawsuits filed April 30 in Superior Court in Effingham County join two other lawsuits on the same topic that began winding their way through the court process in 2010.Read more

HALIFAX, NS, Dec. 1, 2014 (Chronicleherald.ca) -The province and Northern Pulp are hailing recent stack test results from the Pictou County kraft pulp mill as a step in the right direction.
A longtime critic of the mill's emissions is not so sure.
"The emissions coming from the mill are moving in the right direction," Environment Minister Randy Delorey said Friday. "They are improving. I'm hoping that the residents of Pictou are experiencing those improvements in their air quality as well."Read more

EVERETT, WA, Aug. 26, 2014 (Local News) -The city has filed a lawsuit against Kimberly-Clark Corp. over the company's failure to cover its former waterfront pulp-mill site with topsoil.
When the company shut down the mill in 2012 and received a permit to demolish buildings on the site, it was with the stipulation that the rubble be covered with topsoil and that grass be planted to contain pollution on the site, the city says.Read more
