US South biomass prices inched up slightly in the third quarter in the South Atlantic zone as consumers began stockpiling winter inventories. For the South Central area, hog fuel prices were mostly unchanged, even as rains increased late in the period.
Roundwood prices across the South Central region, however, were slightly higher in the third quarter (with scattered exceptions), compared to the prior period. That general stability owes much to the lack of any significant weather impacts through the quarter's end in September.Read more
