ECLEPENS, Switzerland, March 31, 2010 (Press Release) -In-depth process- and customer knowledge is the common denominator for the two divisions of BTG Group; Duroblade and Instruments. We are devoted to developing innovative, cost-effective ways of improving the productivity of the pulp and paper industry, the process and the profitability. We continue to pioneer advanced technologies for the industry, including Duroblade metering and doctoring blades, IPI DurorodTMsize press and metering rods, rod beds, couplings and headbox sheets. We also offer a full range of sophisticated process sensors and analyzers based on the latest advances in process analysis, such as consistency and brightness transmitters or charge and retention analyzers, to name but a few. A range of very reliable lab instruments completes our portfolio. But BTG is far from being only a supplier of goods: we have top notch engineers and a wealth of experience; our commitment to finding new solutions to new market challenges has made us the standard-setter in advanced papermaking systems worldwide.

At this year's exhibition we are emphasizing our Total Tissue Capability - TTC, a one-stop product & service package to help tissue makers cut costs and optimize their process, combining the know-how, services and products from both our divisions. Visit us to see a few examples on how to put this into practice. Naturally, the concept also applies to any other pulp and paper-related application.

Instruments

We present our range of consistency transmitters:

  • the TwinTorqueTMMEK-3000, the first transmitter in our series of easier, smaller, smarter, lighter BTG instruments,

  • the TCR-2510 PeakTotalTM- our new light version of optical total consistency transmitter - as well as

  • the new RET-5503 PeakAshTM, the perfect solution for measuring ash and total retention in the range of 0.01 - 2%.

You can also see our latest success product, the DRT-5500 inline freeness, and our MütekTMlab instruments: e.g. the PCD-04 Travel, the Number One for easy and reliable measurement of colloidal dissolved charge and the DFR-05 Freeness and Headbox Dewatering for easy mill measurements.

Duroblade® - metering and doctoring

Inventor of the original high-performance ceramic-tipped coating blade, BTG is also the owner of former IPI LLC, North America's largest rod and rod bed producer.
