LUCCA, ITALY, Feb. 28, 2012 (Press Release) -Paper Converting Machine Company received an order by LLC Pulp Invest (based in Kazan - Russia) for an Amica converting line to produce high-quality toilet rolls and kitchen towels at the speed of 450 mpm.

The line will feature the proven Amica rewinding technology, attractive state-of-the-art embossing technology including color embossing, a high-technology 4-lane log saw.

The PCMC line will be installed in a green-field plant currently under construction. This modern, hightechnology site will employ 250 people and is going to have a production of 30,000 tons per year of tissue, that will be converted into rolled products. For paper production, LLC also choose the top-of-therange technology available, ordering a modern complete stock preparation plant for virgin fiber to be supplied by Andritz.

The two lines, by Andritz and PCMC, will have the same width of 2,8 meters and will be both installed in late 2012 some 50 meters away from one another.

"This is a very important project for us" PCMC spokesman says, " that largely repays PCMC Italy and PCMC Germany for the work made in the past years in order to establish a collaboration with the tissue producers and converters of Russia and former CIS countries. The additional orders that are going to be announced later this year will further consolidate PCMC position in that market".
