BRUSSELS, Dec. 2, 2013 (RISI) - Stora Enso is mending the lime kiln at its Veitsiluoto mill in Kemi, northern Finland, after a breakdown following a power outage. The firm plans to restart the lime kiln toward the end of the week, mill director Juha Mäkimattila said.
During the time the lime kiln is down for reparations, Stora Enso is buying lime. The pulp and paper production at the facility has not been affected, Mäkimattila added.Read more
BRUSSELS, Nov. 21, 2013 (RISI) - Ence continues to improve the ecological footprint of its pulp mills. The firm just inaugurated a new Euro 11 million ($14.9 million) wastewater treatment facility at its Navia pulp mill in northeastern Spain.
According to Ence, a joint venture formed by Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies and Inelecma was commissioned to build the new treatment plant with a capacity amounting to 50,000 m³/day.Read more
