AKRON, OH, Nov. 5, 2019 (Press Release) -In September 2019 BCI launched its new 194,600 s/f Sheet Plant in East Syracuse, NY. Located just off Carrier Circle on the east side of the city, BCI with the help of The Carrier Corporation was able to repurpose the existing TR20 building to meet our needs. This newly renovated facility will be the base of operations for our 69 BCI associates and is designed to serve our growing customer base in Upstate New York and New England. During the month of August our team successfully transitioned our business from the original, 63,000 s/f building that had been the company’s home for over 40 years.
BCI Syracuse features several new pieces of equipment to add to its converting capabilities including a 66x125 3 color Ward Flex folder Gluer w/Die Cut section, 66x125 2 color Ward Rotary Die Cutter, 150” Mark 5 SL J&L folder Gluer, Automated Plant Conveyorization, integrated Scrap and Dust Collection System, New Design Lab, Office and Training Center. These additions complement the existing small and big box capability already produced by BCI Syracuse and will enhance work-flow efficiency, capacity, capability and quality. This investment in BCI Syracuse is a result of its continuous growth since the acquisition by BCI in July 2011. Along with its sister Division in Rochester, BCI has expanded its converting capability in upstate NY to deliver plain Kraft to High Color Graphics in small to large formats to meet ever evolving customer needs.
