UK’s Medica Packaging splits from Graphic Packaging/Benson Group

BRUSSELS, Nov. 6, 2014 (PPI Europe) -The UK's Medica Packaging will separate from Graphic Packaging/Benson Group to become an independent specialist packaging provider owned by a group of private investors managed by Sullivan Street Partners Limited.

The value of the deal was not disclosed. The new firm plans to focus on its core strengths, which is producing specialist cartons, leaflets and labels for the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, Medica packaging said in a statement.

John Bath has been appointed as the company's new CEO.

Medica Packaging is located in Crewe and employees over 100 people. The company was bought in 2005 by the UK's Benson Group, which now belongs to Graphic Packaging.
