The Sherwood Press has recently invested in a new Bobst Expertfold 110 -A2 folder-gluer machine to reaffirm its commitment to the packaging industry.
The new kit will replace Sherwood's current Vega folder and gluing machine and will allow us to more than double our capacity. The kit can process paper and cartonboard at speeds up to 450m/min, delivering superb gluing and folding as well as perfect packing. Other features include a reduction in set up time and the C.U.B.E box which rejects non-conforming cartons without stopping the production.
The Group's Technical Works Manager, Mark Ashforth commented: "Having gained experience of working with Bobst machinery in the past, I am confident the new kit is going to take Sherwood's capabilities to a different level in both efficiency and quality."
The recent purchase of the new Bobst Expertfold folding and gluing line is part of The Group's continuous investment in its Purapackaging division. Over the past two years, Sherwood has boosted its capacity with a Komori Lithrone S640 and Heidelberg Easygluer purchased in 2011 and new Iberica Optima 105 die-cutter which was installed at the plant in December 2012.
Graham Garrod, the Group's Managing Director added: "Continuous investment in both production capabilities and experienced staff are pivotal to ensuring that we offer our customers the best printing solution available to them."
