Tri-Wall inaugurates corrugated plant in Wales

October 09, 2013 - 22:00

BRUSSELS, Oct. 10, 2013 (PPI Europe) -Hong-Kong-based Tri-Wall has inaugurated a corrugated packaging plant in Monmouth, South Wales, the UK. The facility was acquired from DS Smith last year as part of Tri-Wall's strategy to grow its global presence and serve its customers around the world.

The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new plant was held to celebrate the ownership transfer.

The plant occupies two sites on the Wonastow Road industrial estate with a combined area of 21,000 m2.

The new facility houses a 2.4 m wide corrugator, two large-format high-speed box makers with rotary die-cutting and three-color printing.

The Monmouth plant focuses on producing heavy-duty corrugated packaging. It exports around 40% of its products to continental Europe.
