BRUSSELS, Sept. 11, 2014 (PPI Europe) -Günther Degenhardt, which operated a box-making plant in Grevenbroich in north-western Germany, has filed for bankruptcy amid financial difficulties.

The firm's spokesperson said that the insolvency administrator will now examine options for the company.

Degenhardt employs some 40 people. It buys corrugated sheets to produce packaging for the FMCG and the automobile industries, among other segments.

In 2013, Degenhardt bought insolvent corrugated packaging producer Wellpappenwerk Lamersdorf located in Inden near Grevenbroich, but had to sell it earlier this year.
