LAUSANNE, Switzerland, Oct. 10, 2013 (Press Release) -Operating in the packaging sector for sixty years, the Lucaprint Group has become one of the most innovative organizations in Italy's paper converting sector. The group has always invested in innovative technology and processes and for this reason has recently installed a high-speed BOBST MASTERFOLD 75 folder-gluer, equipped with an EASYFEEDER GT feeder and in-line with a CARTONPACK II automatic box packing unit.

The BOBST MASTERFOLD is characterized by great versatility and operating consistency and can create a range of box types at high speeds. The EASYFEEDER GT feeder ensures a steady flow of blanks into the machine and represents a valuable aid in ensuring high production speeds. The CARTONPACK II enables end-of-line operatives to keep pace with the 700 metre per minute maximum speed of the MASTERFOLD. Being configured for long runs, the new folder-gluer enables users to increase production capacity, while at the same time ensuring the highest quality level of the finished product.
Lucaprint Group's philosophy is to deliver quality and the customer's full satisfaction, all within short lead times. These requirements are becoming increasingly urgent in today's marketplace and after achieving numerous certifications and purchasing new machines, the Group has now reached a leading position in the market in terms of technology and quality. The new BOBST line will enable Lucaprint Group to maximize the efficiency of their folding and gluing process, being able to manufacture up to 150,000 glued boxes an hour, depending on the format, as well as allowing the company to optimize the entire process in terms of setting and running times.
Since 2009 Lucaprint Group has been undergoing a radical change in their production processes following the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. This has enabled the Group to improve its organization and speed up production, thus considerably increasing overall efficiency. The new BOBST line complements an existing range of four folding and gluing lines installed at the Group's facilities in Pianezze S.L. (VI) and enhances the capabilities of the company's foremost production plant, making it even more competitive.
The enterprise has recently re-designed their R & D offices by investing in a new cutting plotter for samples and for mini-reproductions of board packages and displays. These investments in terms of resources and equipment confirm the far-sighted views of the Group in coping with changes within the industry: on the one hand aiming to provide customers with complete products before their industrialization and, on the other hand, optimizing the production process in order to ensure an excellent service and superb product quality.
