Welch Packaging acquires assets and operations of Indiana Corrugated in Marion, IN

ELKHART, IN, Jan. 24, 2014 (Press Release) -

Elkhart, Indiana based Welch Packaging has announced that effective January 20th, 2014 it has acquired the assets and operations of Indiana Corrugated in Marion Indiana. Indiana Corrugated, founded in 1979 by John Long, has 44 employees, operates out of a 175,000 square foot facility and services customers throughout Central Indiana.

"Indiana Corrugated's niche products, design talent, production competence and commitment to customer's made this opportunity very attractive to Welch Packaging", commented Scott Welch, Founder and CEO of Welch. Jane DeHaven, Vice President of Sales for Indiana Corrugated said "Welch Packaging's geographic footprint, production capabilities and Associate Development Program make them a great fit for the next phase of Indiana Corrugated". DeHaven, who is John Long's daughter, also commented on how Welch's decentralized operating model and entrepreneurial spirit attracted her and John to Welch Packaging.

Welch Packaging, a family owned business, designs and manufactures custom corrugated products for local businesses throughout the Midwest. Welch has manufacturing locations in Elkhart, Indianapolis and Marion, Indiana; Cleveland, Columbus, and Toledo, Ohio; and Chicago, Illinois.
