OAKLAND, CA, Sept. 24, 2013 (RISI) -RockTenn, the second largest recovered paper consumer in North America and one of the largest old corrugated container (OCC) consumers in the USA, moved up Gregory King to lead its recycling division last month, contacts said this week.

King is now Sr VP and General Mgr of Recycling, replacing Erik Deadwyler who moved over to RockTenn's carton unit where he is a Sr VP of Central Operations.

The recycling unit generates more than $1 billion/yr in revenue, and includes about 29 recycling plants, contacts said. Also, the firm, under Deadwyler, who was once with Enron, developed a trading-floor "hub" in Atlanta where the firm's traders manage volume and flow, and pricing for its mill and open market sales of recovered paper, contacts said.
