ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL, Sept. 17, 2013 (Press Release) -Pulver Packaging has substantially increased its folding carton manufacturing capacity with 2 new production lines, which will help them cope with increased sales. Productivity and reliability were key factors in the decision to purchase a BOBST VISIONCUT 106E die-cutter and SIGNATURE 110 folder-gluer.

Patrick Pulver, CEO of Pulver Packaging, said, "We needed to increase our capacity to meet increased demand for our products. The speed, quality and user friendliness we have found with the Bobst Visioncut has secured the extra capacity, while the space saving Signature 110 has tripled our gluing output. Together, the 2 machines help ensure the quick turn times that our customers have come to expect."

Based in Elk Grove Village IL, Pulver Packaging produces a wide range of packaging from full color paperboard folding cartons to paperboard mailers and plain stock cartons. The company warehouses paperboard in many different calipers and types in order to facilitate the 1-week turn times they become known for. Pulver said, "We offer customer-orientated solutions and partnerships from concept to completion in our 30,000 square foot facility. Having the capability to turn 500,000 piece orders in less than a week has really defined our customer base."

The VISIONCUT 106E replaced an older SP102, yet gives Pulver Packaging a considerable increase in die cutting capacity due to its performance, versatility, and ease of use. The machine features a double cam gripper bar advance system which lowers the stress on the sheet, allowing for higher speeds than their previous SP102.

The SIGNATURE folder-gluer can process many different straight-line, crash-lock, and 4/6 corner style boxes, adding capacity and capability to Pulver Packaging's production. The SIGNATURE 110 includes many new developments designed to ensure precision alignment, higher speeds, and greater productivity.

Pulver said, "It's important for us to have the latest technology possible to ensure quality and on time deliveries. Our customers depend on us to for that. We depend on our equipment to do the same. Having a supplier like Bobst, who we know will be there for the long term, gives us - and thereby our customers - the confidence needed to produce outstanding products in as little as 5 days in this ever changing business."
