FRANKLIN, KY, Aug. 15, 2013 (Local News) -Gov. Steve Beshear on Monday said that Packaging Unlimited is expanding manufacturing operations in Franklin, adding 20 jobs and investing more than $2 million in the project.

“Packaging Unlimited is a Kentucky success story, starting as a small business that has expanded tremendously and continues to grow and evolve,” Beshear said in a news release. “We know these 20 jobs and $2 million investment will contribute a lasting impact on the Franklin community and our economy as a whole.”

The company, which began in Louisville in 1974, makes customized packaging for clients, including die-cut partitions, color cartons with hand holes and foam fabricating packaging. It has nine facilities in five cities throughout Kentucky and North Carolina.
