AICC, the Independent Packaging Association, is proud to announce the 2015 Independent Packaging Design – “Bid for the Promo” Challenge. The goal is to design and manufacture a promotional piece that promotes the AICC 2015 Independent Packaging Design Competition – “Big Design Roundup” to independent sheet, corrugators, folding carton and rigid box plants who make up AICC's membership.
Over the past 22 years, a number of AICC members have stepped up to the plate to design and manufacture a piece to promote the biennial packaging design competition, held at AICC's Annual Meeting in the fall. The next competition will be held in conjunction with the 2015 Annual Meeting, September 28-30 at The Omni Fort Worth Hotel in Fort Worth, TX.
This is a great opportunity to shine the spotlight on your company's talent, creativity and manufacturing prowess in front of all AICC members as well as your potential customers.
Now, it could be your turn if you accept the challenge. Here's how it works:
- Let AICC know that your company is interested in participating in the "Bid for the Promo Challenge" by contacting Cindy Guarino-Huber at email@example.com
- AICC will provide interested companies with the job specs. Companies are to design a promotional piece using corrugated, folding carton or rigid box as the primary medium (can use any combination). Companies are free to choose the printing process, ink colors, flute sizes and overall size. The theme of the 2015 Independent Packaging Design Competition is “Big Design Roundup”
- Companies accepting the challenge will have until March 13, 2015 to submit their design concepts to AICC. Then AICC's Packaging Design Competition Committee will judge and select the winning designs.
- The company who submits the winning concept (s) will manufacture the promotional piece in time for distribution to the AICC membership in summer 2015. However, companies that can produce the promotion piece in time to be distributed at the AICC 2015 Spring Meeting in Naples, FL (April 28-May 1) will be given special consideration.
In appreciation and recognition of the winning company's donation of time, creativity, talent and materials in the manufacture of the promotional piece, the winning company may include their company logo on the piece as well as the company logos of other companies who have donated materials and supplies. If you have questions or are interested in participating in the “2015 Bid for Promo” Challenge, please contact Cindy Guarino-Huber at AICC Headquarters toll-free at (877) 836-2422 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
