VIENNA, Austria, July 14, 2017 (Press Release) -Mondi, the international packaging and paper Group, attracted many visitors to its exhibit at this year’s RosUpack trade fair in Russia. Mondi experts from nearly all parts of the business were present at the fair in Moscow – including for the first time Mondi’s Corrugated Packaging business, which has recently entered the Russian market. Corrugated Packaging had particular success with its Second Life Box, which won second prize for ‘concept of the year’ in the 2017 PART Awards at RosUpack.
Mondi’s exhibit highlighted the latest packaging trends and showed how its solutions can contribute to the success of business customers in these markets. Its eye-catching booth had a theme of ‘Discover how Mondi’s products touch millions of lives, every day.’ and focused on innovative packaging for the food & beverages industry.
Many visitors took the opportunity to learn about Mondi’s range of products by exploring the special product discovery area, where they could see first-hand how packaging solutions are used in a staged kitchen. They also enjoyed trying a virtual reality game to find Mondi products hidden around a virtual apartment.
Russia is an important market for Mondi where the presence has significantly increased since the last RosUpack. In the second half of 2016, Mondi acquired a consumer packaging plant near Ekaterinburg (Mondi Uralplastic) and a corrugated packaging plant in the Lipetsk region (Mondi Lebedyan, formerly known as Beepack). Mondi is closer to customers and increases its footprint with an extended offering in this region, including mill, plants and sales offices. RosUpack has become an important annual occasion to show existing and potential customers more than they expect from Mondi’s wide range of packaging products for a variety of customer needs and industry applications.
