BALAKHNA, Russia, June 16, 2021 (Press Release) -JSC Volga will take part in the 25th International packaging industry exhibition RosUpack, which will be held in Moscow, from 15 to 18 June. This year, the largest packaging industry event in Russia and Eastern Europe is expected to host more than 650 companies from 36 countries; managers and specialists from Russian and foreign companies of various sectors of the economy, who seek for a supplier of packaging equipment, materials, raw materials or completed packaging.

JSC Volga will present its production – paper for corrugation and other packaging grades – on the stand № D7107 in the section “Completed packaging”.

“We are excited to participate in such a significant event for the packaging and e-commerce industry,” noted Alexey Vdovin, deputy General Director for Sales. “It is a fantastic opportunity for us to meet the key consumers of our production, discuss prospects for cooperation with existing and potential partners, especially considering we have quite ambitious plans.

Starting with December 2019, JSC Volga began establishing its presence in the segment of ultra-light and light liners and flutings – these are the components for producing corrugated cardboard, which, in its turn, is processed into corrugated boxes for the rapidly growing all around the world e-commerce segment. In 2020 we have considerably increased the share of packaging grades in the total order portfolio, so that currently more than 50% of JSC Volga production is produced in the form of packaging paper grades that are supplied both for export and to Russian manufacturers of corrugated packaging. In a three-year perspective we are planning to increase the volume of production from the current 330 thousand tons to 550 thousand, that is to increase by 70% and to do so with packaging paper grades and cardboard. That is why we consider the RosUpack exhibition such a significant event.

The company's assets include deliveries to more than 70 countries around the world, and we are always open to long-term cooperation. It is crucial for the Russian corrugated packaging manufacturers to keep up with global trends and use more lightweight components in the production of corrugated cardboard. Our team is looking forward to the opening of the exhibition to demonstrate a vast range of our production in Moscow.”
