Duni’s launch of the opaque bagasse lids comes at a time when many owners of take-away businesses are seeking to reduce their plastic consumption. The EU rules on single-use plastics and customer concern over plastic pollution are accelerating this trend.
Wings are integrated into the new bagasse lids, which ensures they shut very securely with a haptic click. Advantageous for both customers and staff, this design feature ensures easier preparation and transport, and therefore a better all-round meal experience.
Customisable and eco-conscious
Biobased bagasse is used for the distinctive, octagonal bases and lids. Robust and elegant, this upcycled material is made from the fibres that remain after sugarcane stalks are crushed for their juice. It is suitable for industrial composting and has a low carbon footprint.
