SAO PAULO, June 5, 2018 (Press Release) -Klabin is one of the exhibitors at the 44th Expocitros and the 40th Citriculture Week, organized simultaneously by the Sylvio Moreira Citriculture Center until June 8, in Cordeirópolis in the interior region of São Paulo. The company is showcasing its recyclable corrugated board packaging solutions for the agricultural produce segment, especially citrus fruits.

Visitors can learn about and explore the characteristics of Klabin’s packaging solutions, which are tailor-made to the specifications of diverse products in this market. The Company’s corrugated board boxes come in specific formats to accommodate and pack fruits, vegetables, greens and other food products, thus guaranteeing resistance, food protection, as well as ease of storage and transportation. Moreover, the packaging is recyclable and produced from raw material obtained from planted and certified forests.

Klabin’s participation in the event underscores its position as a supplier of sustainable packaging for the agricultural produce segment, which is an important market for the company, since Brazil is the world's third largest fruit producer, exporting 748,000 tons in 2017, which corresponds to 2.5% of its production, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
