The new TT SYD is installed on PM3 at Papelera del Plata - Zarate mill in Argentina. This is a repeated order for Toscotec, who in 2010 fired up another TT SYD at CMPC Tissue’s Industria Papelera Uruguaya SA in Uruguay. GLENS FALLS, NY, Jan. 23, 2019 (PostStar) -A problem with Finch Paper’s pulp digester may have had city residents smelling rotten egg fumes Tuesday morning.
The state Department of Environmental Conservation said it investigated reports of odors and determined the Finch Paper mill was the source.
Finch Paper officials told the DEC that its pulp digester has been shut down since Sunday. As a result, it is transferring the liquid contents to its wastewater treatment system and solid contents to open-air bunkers.Read more

HALIFAX, NS, Jan. 18, 2019 (CBC) -The Nova Scotia government will not relax its January 2020 deadline to close the Boat Harbour wastewater effluent treatment facility, even though regulatory issues have delayed the start date for the massive cleanup project by months and perhaps even a year.
The delay is significant because Northern Pulp has asked the province to keep Boat Harbour open beyond the scheduled closing in order to continue treating 75 million litres of effluent daily from its Pictou County pulp mill.Read more
OAKLAND, CA, Jan. 17, 2019 (RISI) -DS Smith North America plans for the installation of a 110-in corrugator at its new Lebanon, IN, box plant. The plant is to be operating by yearend.
It is to be a full-line corrugated operation and include pre-print press capability, and span almost 550,000 ft2. The groundbreaking for construction of the plant began this month.
