Zünd to launch G3 cutting systems at FachPack 2010

August 26, 2010 - 01:28

ALTSTÄTTEN, Switzerland , Aug. 26, 2010 (Press Release) -Following the successful launch of Zünd G3 cutting systems, Zünd is poised to introduce Zund Cut Center at the FachPack 2010, the first-ever software package to carry the Zund name. The new software is tailored specifically for G3 and designed to maximize the productivity of the company's latest generation of multifunctional digital cutting systems.

Key features

  • Easy and intuitive handling of the G3 cutting system.
  • Cut Queue for quick file retrieval and access to the production schedule for job prioritization.
  • Integrated material database including the appropriate tool parameters
  • Automated job selection via „hotfolder"
  • Compatible with all commonly used packaging CAD-systems

Well thought out - from start to finish

With G3, Zünd is expanding on its hugely successful modular concept. All ten G3 models can accommodate all available Zünd tools and material-handling features. Upgrading at any time - e.g. to automated material advancing - and adapting to changes in production requirements has never been easier or more cost effective. For Zünd customers, this translates into exceptionally high cost-efficiency and secure ROI, short and long term.

"One for All" productivity

"In developing G3, our primary focus was system productivity", explains Zünd Product Manager Maurus Zeller. "Productivity goes far beyond speed. If you look at performance in a Formula One race car, it is not just acceleration that matters. What gives one car the edge over another is the way all components, including the driver, work together as a whole. With the new G3, we can offer our customers the most productive and the only fully multifunctional machine on the market. No matter whether the requirements involve simple cutting, creasing, scoring or routing of complex shapes - the new G3 cutter is always up to the task and guarantees optimal productivity."

Two configurations demonstrate the efficiency of the Zünd cutting systems. A fully automated system, equipped with sheet-feeder simulates non-stop production of printed packaging material. Furthermore a G3 high-performance cutter is set up to process a variety of materials, including corrugated paper, folding carton, foam core and plastics for sample-making.
