HAVERHILL, UK, March 22, 2010 (Press Release) -SpeckCheck 2, the comprehensive pulp and paper analysis system from Perceptive Instruments, is now fully compatible with Microsoft's Windows 7. SpeckCheck 2 is a powerful system for the measurement of dirt, residual ink and other contaminants in pulp, paper and paperboard. It combines the latest computerised scanning technology with sophisticated software to provide a versatile paper inspection tool for research and quality control.

Though primarily designed for dirt and ink measurement, SpeckCheck 2 also quantifies fibres, shives, pin holes and stickies. Other paper characteristics that can be tested include print quality and mottle.

SpeckCheck 2 conforms to TAPPI Specifications T 213 and T 563 (EBA). SpeckCheck 2 is developed under our quality management system which has gained ISO 9001:2008 approval from a UKAS and ANAB accredited certification body.
