STRASBOURG CEDEX, France, June 24, 2010 (Press Release) -The shareholders of LANA decided to launch an important investment plan to perpetuate and increase the industrial performance of the mill.

The first step was the optimisation of the drying sections on one of the paper machines. The completed modification of the air exchange system reduced the consumption of gas and also the carbon footprint of the site. This investment is in line with the policy of environmental engagement at LANA, which is also FSC certified.

The second investment is a new cutter which will make a major impact in the performance of the finishing area, especially with regards to watermarked paper production. For more information, please visit our new Web

"We have good reason to believe that we are now competitive and flexible, which represents an important strength in these times of economic crisis", confirms Franz Reinisch, director of the company. Mr Reinisch feels confident for Lana's future and states that in particular the integrated workshop for watermarking, security papers, and the new developments in the segment of high quality printing papers will be of the upmost importance for the future development of the company.
