The video discusses the two major factors in selecting load cells: sensitivity and repeatability. Bryon Williams of The Montalvo Corporation explains both factors by using just a five-gram weight to demonstrate how a very small tension on the Montalvo ES load cell is sensed and signaled. Standard load ratings for the ES series load cells include 50, 150 and 500 pounds.
As Williams says, "The Montalvo load cell is sensitive to the very smallest changes in tension and it still offers a repeatable signal with the customer's webs."

The ES load cells have a stainless steel body, are dust proof (IP-54 rating), and offer unique mechanical variance compensation. They are available in three mounting configurations: standard, flange, and split pillow block.
