ATLANTA, GA, May 6, 2015 (Press Release) -This year's recipient of the Paper & Board Division Scholarship is Katherine Ebensperger. It is a scholarship presented to a science and engineering student interested in pursuing a career in the paper industry to utilize their talents in advancing the science and technology of papermaking.
Ebensperger attends the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, majoring in Paper Science Engineering. She is a Big Sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, captains the women's ultimate frisbee club, and serves as the activities coordinator for the UWSP Student Chapter of TAPPI.
She held a previous internship for Appvion in their thermal research department for her co-op and will intern with Sonoco at their Menasha location this summer.
After graduation, Ebensperger plans to pursue a career in the paper industry, by becoming a process engineer with an interest in the packaging segment.
