Cascades to take three weeks of maintenance downtime at its Djupafors mill in Sweden

June 08, 2013 - 07:06

BRUSSELS, June 6, 2013 (RISI) - Cascades will suspend its virgin fiber cartonboard production for three weeks for maintenance at its Djupafors mill in Sweden.

The mill will be stopped from June 21 to mid-July, management at Careo, Cascades' sales subsidiary, said, adding that the usual annual maintenance downtime was being extended in order to include workers holidays and enable a smooth restart from mid-July. The management ruled out any market-related downtime, saying that the mill is currently fully booked.

Djupafors mill produces approximately 60,000 tonnes/yr of GC2 board.
