WESTFORD, MA, May 28, 2013 (Press Release) -Kadant Inc. announced that it has completed the acquisition of certain assets of the Noss Group, a Sweden-based developer and supplier of screening, hydrocycloning, and deaeration systems and equipment for both virgin and recycled fiber lines as well as for approach flow systems. The Noss product line extends Kadant's stock-preparation product offerings to include systems and equipment used in approach flow as well as the virgin pulp market where Noss has been a leader in both technology and product performance.

The addition of Noss products and innovative technologies provides a solid addition to Kadant's Stock-Preparation product line, particularly in approach flow and chemical pulping applications. As a leader in stock cleaning equipment and systems, Noss has enjoyed a strong reputation with papermakers around the globe, and its integration into Kadant is expected to benefit pulp and paper producers with a broader product mix, increased accessibility, and expanded technical resources utilizing Kadant's global platform.
