The Neat Company collaborates with the Arbor Day Foundation to promote the reduction of paper consumption

April 19, 2011 - 04:38

PHILADELPHIA, April 19, 2011 (PRNewswire) -The Neat Company, developers of user-friendly scanning hardware and software solutions, and the Arbor Day Foundation today announced a joint partnership to help reforest our nation's woodlands and to encourage people everywhere to reduce paper consumption.

During the month of April, for every freeTaming the Paper Monstere-book that is downloaded on The Neat Company will make a monetary donation for the planting of new trees in designated forests in the United States. The e-book is a helpful get-started guide for small businesses and consumers pursuing a paper-LESS lifestyle. Additionally, anyone who purchases a NeatDesk® or NeatReceipts® unit during Earth Week will receive a free tree, suitable for planting, from the Arbor Day Foundation.

"We are very excited to work with a company like Neat that recognizes the significance of trees to our environment," stated Brian Schenk, Corporate Partnerships Manager at the Arbor Day Foundation.

This is the second time that The Neat Company and the Arbor Day Foundation have collaborated over the past few months in efforts to promote the reduction of paper consumption. According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the average American uses approximately one 100-foot-tall tree in paper and wood products each year. In this partnership, both companies will work together to replenish our forests while reducing excess use of paper.

"Environmental sustainability is important to Neat's customers and we are delighted to help the Arbor DayFoundation plant, nurture and celebrate trees," said Kevin Garton, Chief Marketing Officer at The Neat Company. "Supporting the Foundation aligns with our mission to provide consumers with a digital filing cabinet solution that reduces paper consumption and in turn, relieves pressure on the tree population."

The Neat® Company has created a new way for small businesses and consumers to transform paper documents into digital information. The Neat Company also enables our customers to build their own digital filing cabinet. This creates one centralized location where they can go to organize, find and share all of their important paper documents and electronic files.
