Sweden-based RISE subsidiary Processum mergers with BioBusiness Arena to form regional cluster hub for forest research and innovation

STOCKHOLM, Jan. 18, 2018 (Press Release) -Through the merger between Processum and BioBusiness Arena, a regional cluster hub is formed in Västernorrland and Västerbotten for forest research and innovation. As a subsidiary of RISE, Processum thus contributes to RISE being established in Sundsvall. At the inaugural ceremony, one hundred representatives of industry, universities, institutes and public actors participated.

The merger between Processum and BioBusiness Arena was marked and celebrated at a formal opening ceremony in Sundsvall on January 18th in the presence of the 100's representatives of industry, universities, institutes and public actors. The inauguration ceremony consisted of representatives from Processum, Åkroken Science Park, RISE, Domsjö Fabriker, Mid University, Umeå University, Landstinget Västernorrland, The Västernorrland Region, the Sundsvall, Örnsköldsvik and Umeå municipalities, together building a common puzzle under the supervision of the governor Gunnar Holmberg. An indication of a strong support for the merger.
