ST PETERSBURG, Russia, July 5, 2019 (Press Release) -From June throughout October 2019 Ilim Group will reduce production volumes of bleached softwood pulp manufactured at its mills in Siberia (in Bratsk and in Ust-Ilimsk) by 165 thousand tons, which will primarily impact Ilim’s exports to Asia in this period. Reduction of production volumes is caused by a scheduled shutdown aimed at a large-scale modernization of the Ust-Ilimsk pulp line as an integral part of Ilim long term investment program.

This reduction of production volumes takes into account all contractual obligations to partners and ensures the delivery of the annual production output target. Ilim will resume production of bleached softwood pulp in a regular mode in October 2019.

Ilim Group is one of the leaders of the pulp and paper industry globally. The annual production output of Ilim Group exceeds 3.4 million tons of pulp and paper products, which are supplied to more than 70 countries worldwide. Ilim Group has a strategic focus on the Asian market. By 2023 Ilim plans to implement investment program worth USD 3 billion, which includes modernization of the existing facilities and a launch of new capacities in Siberia.
