PITTEN, Austria, Sept. 25, 2019 (Press Release) -Hamburger Containerboard will install a curtain coater at their Trostberg location during November 17th to 25th 2019. The company expects to see significant improvements on the surface and printability of their coated grades.

Furthermore, as part of the construction of the new paper machine 2 at their Spremberg site, measures will be taken between November 11th to 22nd to allow the integration of future capacities into the existing infrastructure. Hamburger Containerboard is expanding its production site at the Schwarze Pumpe Industrial Estate to become one of the most modern and efficient paper production sites in Europe.

At their site in Gelsenkirchen, Germany there will be also a standstill due to maintenance work.

In total, the Hamburger Containerboard Division will reduce its output by 40.000 tonnes of brown and white recycled paper, with the already announced shutdowns in Austria and Hungary.
