BRUSSELS, March 14, 2019 (PPI Europe) -German packaging producer August Faller has started up digital folding carton production by founding the new Worms-based subsidiary PackEx, which should speed up product delivery times and generate significantly reduced operating costs.
“Customers can place their orders with PackEx on a web-based software solution and receive the products in just a few days. This is much faster than the several weeks often needed by companies that use conventional production methods,” the firm said in a statement.
Elsewhere, August Faller has entered into a joint venture (jv) with the Irish packaging artwork and labeling specialist Perigord with the latter taking a majority stake in August Faller Artwork Solutions.
Prior to the deal, the companies had been waiting for a favorable opportunity to expand in the DACH (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) region, the firm said in a statement.
“We had been looking to expand our European footprint to further support our global client base. [The partnership with August Faller] provides us with a platform to grow our business and market share in the DACH region, a major hub for large European life science companies,” the CEO of Perigord Alan Leamy said in a statement.
Dublin-based Perigord provides labelling and artwork management services to the life science industry.
