SYDNEY, July 10, 2019 (Sydney Morning Herald) -Cardboard, can and glass bottle maker Orora says it is attracting new business from customers who want to use less plastic in their packaging, as consumers become more conscious of its environmental impact.

The group's chief executive Nigel Garrard - who on Tuesday announced he will step down in September after more than 10 years the in top job - said the push for sustainable packaging was an opportunity for the company.

As one recent example, Orora has been approached by retailers and producers to make small "punnet" boxes to replace the plastic punnets commonly used to house berries and other produce.
