Vaahto to supply shoe-press to rebuild Fajar Paper's PM2 in Indonesia

LAHTI, Finland , June 29, 2010 (Press Release) -Vaahto Pulp & Paper Machinery has received an order from PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk (Fajar Paper) in Indonesia for Vaahto shoe-press to paper machine PM2. The project includes a modern fully hydraulic shoe-press and needed felt loops. Installation supervision, training and start-up services are essential parts of the delivery. The market value of this kind of shoe-press project is usually approximately 3-4 million euros.

Jakarta based mill produces packaging board grades almost 1 million ton annually. PM2 has specialized in test-liner production. Fajar PM2 is a 4.3 m-trim-width machine and can reach 600 m/min production speed. The line will be shut down for the rebuild in June 2011. The target of the rebuild is to improve production capacity of the line by increasing significantly the solid content of the web after press section.
