Allimand signs contract to supply paper machine for Korean constructor

February 07, 2011 - 22:28

CEDEX, France, Jan. 21, 2011 (Press Release) -Responding to an international invitation to tender and following long negotiations, ALLIMAND expresses it's contentment in winning the contract with the Korean constructor, HANSOL EME, for a paper machine with its annexes.

A several million euro contract

This contract mainly involves an "S" Hydraulic Headbox, Wire Part, "EcB" Former, Tri Nip Press Section and numerous auxiliaries. This paper machine will be designed to produce coated papers for printing writing paper and newspapers.

Two major advantages

Signing this contract represents a new milestone for ALLIMAND. Firstly, it has been signed with a Korean Group who is already involved in the paper industry through several production sites in Korea; secondly, it has been signed with a constructor allowing ALLIMAND to be in prime position for future consultations.

A decisive factor: ALLIMAND's high quality technology

"We won this contract, given our high quality technology" explained Doctor Simon CENA, ALLIMAND's Managing Director. "We already have a similar reference in China with identical characteristics: wire width, equivalent speeds. We were therefore able to present a very competitive offer regarding the mechanical design as this had already been proven successful".

Final destination: VIETNAM

The first part of the machine has just left ALLIMAND's manufacturing workshops; the second delivery is scheduled for the end of the first semester of 2011.

AN HOA is the paper machine's final destination, in the Hanoi region in northern Vietnam. The first reels are expected for 2012
