Hamburger Containerboard to reduce output by 30,000 tonnes in Nov and Dec for planned maintenance and holidays during the period

November 13, 2018 - 01:28

PITTEN, Austria, Nov. 13, 2018 (Press Release) -In total Hamburger Containerboard will reduce its output 2018 by 30.000 tonnes due to some planned maintenance and national holidays during this period.

The company states that in November and December Hamburger Hungaria and Hamburger Rieger Trostberg will already reduce their production output by approx. 7.000 tonnes due to general maintenance work.

A further 23.000 tonnes of capacity reduction will be distributed equally between the group's remaining RCCM producing paper mills in December.

Christmas and New Year's day this year means the company has to enforce these comprehensive standstills as the supply of raw materials and the delivery options are logistically extremely limited due to the strong Christmas business.

The Hamburger Containerboard Division operates seven paper mills in four countries with 2 Mio tonnes of produced container board per year.
