Saica, Carreras and Iveco are collaborating in a pilot project to use Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel for mid and long distance freight transportation. LNG is the most ecological fuel for internal-combustion engines that currently exists.
The project, which first test took place at the end of summer, is part of the Lean & Green initiative. Its objective is to decrease in 20% the CO2 emissions of the Supply Chain in a period of five years.Read more

SAVANNAH, GA, Dec. 3, 2019 (Press Release) -The Georgia Ports Authority is on track to exceed 4.6 million twenty-foot equivalent container units for the first time in a calendar year.
That level of trade would be a 14 percent increase over volumes moved through Savannah just three years ago, or an additional 550,000 TEUs. Over the same period, the Authority has increased the annual capacity at the Port of Savannah from 5 million to 5.5 million TEUs.Read more
