STOCKHOLM, Oct. 22, 2010 (Press Release) -The logistics company ScandFibre Logistics AB, jointly owned by Smurfit Kappa AB, Mondi Dynäs AB, Billerud AB, Korsnäs AB and Holmen AB - has reached agreements with GREEN CARGO, HECTOR RAIL, CAPTRAIN and TRANSWAGGON in order to operate the new rail based logistics system "Rail 11". The duration of the agreements is six years.

GREEN CARGO and HECTOR RAIL will provide transport services in Sweden and line haul to the continent. CAPTRAIN (a subsidiary of SNCF Geodis) will provide the continental part of the system by own subsidiaries and in partnership with other national railway companies. TRANSWAGGON will provide the wagons for the system.

The new rail system of SFL - Rail 11 - will mainly consist of direct system trains from the mills to Swedish and European terminals for finished goods from the mills. Northbound, SFL will provide cost efficient and environmental friendly transports from many European locations to receivers in Sweden. The short lead times should be attractive for import clients in Sweden.

The new system will be operational 2010-12-12 and will initially transport approximately an annual volume of 2,4 million tonnes from the Swedish mills. The annual turnover of the system will well exceed 1 billion SEK.
