HURTH, Germany, March 19, 2010 (Press Release) -Recycling's all the rage here in Germany: The country has a recycling ratio of around 80 percent, making it the world's number one collectorof used paper. And Rhein Papier's MY NEWS, a newsprint grade made from 100 percent reccycled paper , shows how to turn something old into something that's right up-to-date. And MY NEWS has now been awarded the Blue Angel eco-label for this.

Before it could be presented with the coveted Blue Angel award, MY NEWS had to fulfil a whole series of criteria laid down by the German Department of the Environment. To check this, the ISEGA Institute in Aschaffenburg subjected MY NEWS to a battery of tests - which it passed in full. Rhein Papier, alliance partner of the Myllykoski Group, has been consistently using recycled paper as a raw material for eight years now and is regarded as one of the top experts in the industry.

Environmental compatibility has benefits for the printer as well. The use of 100% recovered paper as a raw material produces a particularly homogenous surface, making it the ideal base for modern waterless offset printing. MY NEWS is used for printing regional and national newspapers, tabloid newspapers and advertising leaflets printed in Coldset. Also in the range is MY NEWS HS, ideal for producing advertising inserts, price lists, catalogues and mail shots printed Heatset.
