CHESHIRE, UK, Sept. 17, 2013 (Press Release) -Palm Recycling's long-term partnership with container bank specialist, SSI Schaefer is proving to deliver cost savings and efficiency gains as well as establish new standards in kerbside and bring bank technologies.
The long running partnership involves both Palm Recycling and SSI Schaefer collaborating at concept stage of any project or contract to develop efficient and cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements for the recovery of high quality materials. Early collaboration means tailored solutions are developed, which includes SSI Schaefer developing innovative, colourful or branded bring bank containers, within tight timeframes, to meet the exacting demands of Palm Recycling's high profile customers such as the distinctive orange bring banks presently being rolled out at over 300 Sainsbury's stores throughout the UK.
Speaking about the partnership, Ross Johnstone, Business Development Manager, Palm Recycling, said: "The respective expertise Palm Recycling and SSI Schaefer have brought to the working partnership, has been pivotal in ensuring the correct deployment of recycling bring banks across the UK to meet the demanding requirements of our customers. The ability to meet the needs of local authorities and retail customers has been vital to ensure recycling solutions not only capture high quality, separated materials, but also encourage greater levels of recycling. This is good news for both the environment and sustainability."
Ludwig Sahm, Waste Management & Recycling Director, SSI Schaefer, added: "We are delighted that our business partnership with Palm Recycling is delivering meaningful solutions for a wide range of customers. We will continue to seek to produce products that exceed customer expectations and increase recycling rates"
The 3.2m³ SSI Schaefer recycling bring banks, for example, are already proving themselves to be a great success with Palm Recycling's client Sainsbury's, as the more aesthetically-pleasing look and user-friendliness, together with their accessible location at the popular retailer's site is making it easier for consumers to recycle more materials more often.
In fact, the ‘new look' of the branded orange Sainsbury's recycling banks has driven up recycling rates as well as reduced, in some areas, incidences of fly tipping as well as received much positive feedback from the general public.
