Bolloré Thin Papers is pleased to announce the publication of its 2011 Sustainable Development report, "Producing paper, respecting the environment".
"The deep-rooted changes which are taking place in our markets and uncertainties in western economies have prompted various aspects of our Sustainable Development policy: "Developing and lasting... Lasting and developing... Developing to last... Lasting to develop. Depending on the various challenges to be taken up, difficulties to be faced and current events, the firm opts for this or that variant, mostly in fact a blend of all variants, dosed in the most appropriate way. Even if we would have liked to do better, the most important thing when looking back over the previous year is to be able to say that we simultaneously contributed towards the economic sustainability of the company and its clients, reduced its eco-footprint and built its future based on social and corporate responsibility."
This was how Philippe Agut, Chairman of Bolloré Thin Papers, introduced readers to the report of the corporate commitment for 2011.
This new edition looks back at the major initiatives marking the year in terms of sustainable development, confirming Bolloré Thin Papers as pioneers in the field, especially: laying the foundation stone of the building site for the Papeteries du Léman wood boiler, the continued partnership with the association Lire et faire lire, conducting the new product Life Cycle Analyses (ACV) and rollout of the Papeteries du Léman Biodiversity Audit.
This report is also an opportunity for Bolloré Thin Papers to announce its commitments for 2012.
