CHILLICOTHE, OH, Nov. 20, 2019 (Chillicothe Gazette) -A substance that covered vehicles and property near the Pixelle paper mill has been identified, according to the Ohio EPA.
The substance tested as a non-toxic substance known as calcium carbonate, said Anthony Chenault of the Ohio EPA. The company will be contacted, said Chenault.
Calcium carbonate is commonly used in paper mills as a filler material in the alkaline papermaking process, according to pulppapermill.com.
