NEW GLASGOW, NS, April 8, 2014 (Local News) -In what they are calling a milestone in their precipitator project, Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corporation has moved one step further toward the installation of a new recovery boiler precipitator.
The recovery boiler works to recover chemicals used in the pulping process to use again while using the waste to generate heat and power. The precipitator works to trap particular matter exiting the mill, preventing it going into the air.
"Our project engineer recently returned from vendor negotiations held with our owner in Shanghai," the email from Northern Pulp read. "We came away with an agreement with Clyde Bergemann Power Group Americas Inc. to supply and install our new recovery boiler precipitator.
