APPLETON, WI, April 30, 2012 (Appleton Post-Crescent ) -Full-scale cleanup of the Fox River will take place this summer after all, under a federal judge's order that NCR must remove a minimum of 660,000 cubic yards of sediment.

U.S. District Judge William Griesbach of Green Bay ruled Friday that the harm caused by toxic PCBs in the river cannot reasonably be divided among all of the paper companies likely responsible for discharging them.

"NCR shall ensure the continuation of full-scale sediment remediation work ... through at least November 9, 2012," Griesbach wrote in his order.
