"At Castle Press, our plant-wide commitment to environmental responsibility begins with paper. As an FSC-certified printer with a focus on sustainable business practices, we're excited about joining other Two Sides members in promoting the unique environmental benefits of print on paper and in smashing the widely held myth that printed media are bad for the environment."

About Castle Press
Castle Press is a medium-sized printing company which uses both lithographic and digital technologies. All printing, binding, fulfilment and mailing services are completed in-house. This capability has led to a holistic philosophy regarding sustainability and print production.
Castle Press believes that striving for sustainability is a journey which will never end. Customers are encouraged to use the Castle Press house sheet which is recycled, FSC certified and manufactured in the United States. In the pressroom, only vegetable oil-based inks are used. Stochastic screen technology reduces ink consumption by 17%. PMS colors are mixed in house to conserve ink inventory and minimize potential waste. Searching for ways to reduce, reuse or recycle has resulted in the number of trash bins sent weekly to landfill waste sites from five to just one. Wooden pallets are returned to paper distributors for reuse. As with all enlightened printing companies, all paper waste and printing plates are recycled. All chemistry is non-toxic. All Castle Press employees are encouraged to do their part in the ongoing effort to reduce, reuse or recycle.
