KAUKAUNA, WI, Oct 29, 2014 (Press Release) - Expera Specialty Solutions announced this week it has completed renewal of Chain-of-Custody Certification and now offers certification through the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®), as well as certification from the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) at all four of their Wisconsin facilities. Previously the four facilities carried certifications, but now Expera is certified under the Chain-of-Custody Multi-site certification standard.
Consumers increasingly desire guarantees that harvested trees, paper, and wood products come from properly managed sources. Offering FSC®, SFI®, and PEFC certification not only supports customer requirements, it also confirms Expera's sustainability commitment known as SOARTM.
"We believe sustainable timber harvesting is imperative to maintaining healthy forests while providing renewable raw material," explained Russ Wanke, President and CEO of Expera Specialty Solutions. "Offering all three certifications through our four facilities provides a unique solution for our customers and enhances our SOARTM commitment of going ‘Above and Beyond for a Better Earth'."
