Södra has made extensive energy investments at Södra Cell Värö over the past few years. These investments mean that the pulp mill will now be free from fossil fuels.

Feed water preheating - to produce more electricity

Tube replacement in the soda recovery boiler, a new inlet section in drum barker 21 and a new operating system for TM 1 are some of the substantial measures that will take place. Between 600-700 contractors will be involved to minimize stoppage time, and the total cost for the stoppage will be just over SEK 100 million.Read more
